So you finally got your extensions, here are some tips to keep your hair looking fresh. We always recommend going to your stylist for routine care. If that’s not an option, here are some helpful reminders.

Washing Your Hair Makes A Difference

Your hair can attract a lot of dust and sweat which can lead to tangling. To avoid this from happening you should wash your hair regularly. First of all, make sure to de-tangle the hair and remove all knots. Then brush your hair on all sides. Then, when you start shampooing, use a downward movement to wash the hair. Make sure to use a high quality clear shampoo as otherwise it can damage the extensions. We also recommend for you to use a intensive conditioner, one for dry or damaged hair only on natural ends and your hair extensions, but again avoid the bonds. Do not apply too much water all of a sudden as it swell up hair and cause tangles.

Proper Styling Tips

Make sure to use a high quality brush that has soft bristles on it. Start styling your hair from the bottom and then move slowly to the top portion. Always make sure to brush in a gentle manner and never exceed over 3 times in one day. Try to avoid using hair dryers as it will dry out your hair. Instead let it dry on its own.
